Nancy is an experienced communicator, researcher and engagement specialist. Beginning her career on Parliament Hill, Nancy spent three years working on policy research and public communications. After leaving the Hill, she worked on policy and government relations with the Canada Foundation for Innovation. She also spent two years at Elections Canada, assisting with the delivery of youth civic engagement programs and social media. Most recently, Nancy led strategic communications and engagement for a sustainability-orientated, social innovation lab. She was responsible for stewarding partner and funder relationships as well as organizing government relations efforts.
Outside of the office, Nancy has volunteered on municipal, provincial and federal political campaigns in Ontario and Quebec, supporting outreach and community engagement efforts.
Nancy is a graduate of Carleton University and holds a Masters in Sustainable Energy Policy and a Bachelors in Public Affairs and Policy Management with a specialization in Strategic Public Opinion. She has published papers and presented at conferences on the topics of urban sustainability and participatory urban planning methods. Her Master’s thesis investigated the implementation of Ottawa’s smart growth planning measures through a stakeholder engagement lens.
