About Daniel

Prior to joining Capital Hill Group, Daniel worked on Parliament Hill for multiple Members of Parliament. In these roles, Daniel actively worked in strategic planning, ensuring that all communication and legislative priorities were clearly defined, adhered to a brand, and had trackable metrics for analysis. He also worked extensively in policy, giving him detailed knowledge of the legislative and committee process, and the ability to provide detailed political analyses.

Prior to his work on the Hill, Daniel worked as a communications professional for multiple federal government departments, including Justice Canada, Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada, and the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission.

Because of this background, he has built a wide network across the House of Commons while acquiring a deep understanding of bureaucratic structures, allowing him to strategically advance client priorities from multiple angles.

At CHG, Daniel advises clients in the Indigenous, health, cannabis, and IT sectors.  Outside of work, Daniel is a member of the Governance Board for a local Ottawa organization which is dedicated to empowering and assisting those living with HIV/AIDS. He has previously also worked with organizations seeking to recruit and encourage LGBTQ participation in all levels of government.
