Inès Mahiou combines master’s-level training in Law and Public Action (Sciences Po Saint-Germain, France) and in European and Eurasian Affairs (Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy, Toronto) with hands-on research and field expertise in five countries.

She specializes in strategic communications, Russian disinformation, and energy security, drawing on prior regional field work in the Baltic states and the Balkan Peninsula for a non-governmental organization (Sofia, Bulgaria) and for the French Diplomatic Corps (Riga, Latvia).

With a multidisciplinary professional and academic background spanning public policy, academia, diplomacy, and journalism, Inès brings deep expertise in policy research related to national defense, cybersecurity, and natural resources, as well as a wide-ranging professional network. Her blend of methodical analysis in six languages and operative diplomatic experience makes her uniquely equipped to support the complex governmental relations initiatives of Capital Hill Group through information gathering and research.

Inès’ broad work experience in Canada includes volunteering in the boutique public relations firm NBAU Consulting, and navigating academia and administrative challenges as Research Administrative Coordinator of the Chair in European Intellectual History (Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy). Her adaptation skills and natural curiosity follows her in her free time, where she indulges in exploring the world and read all about it.
