About Julia
Julia Passero is a third-year student at Wilfrid Laurier University studying political science with a specialization in research, legal studies and public policy. She is beginning her political career by exploring concepts of authority, conflict, debate, and governance to analyze political systems and behaviour. While learning the management of political systems, processes and structures of governance, both at state and international levels, she is also learning how to conduct research through interpretive, case study and comparative methods that can be transferred to careers in federal, provincial and local government.
Julia has participated in political and legal experiences through different clubs and organizations at Laurier University. She is currently active in Women Leading Politics Association and a member of the Law Society Mock Trial, where students simulate legal processes of criminal trials and compete in competitions to obtain experiences of working on a case from the crown and defence perspectives.
Outside of the office, Julia enjoys hiking, working out and cottage activities in the summer and travelling during the year with friends and family.
